Building Project
Jubilee Christian Fellowship have recently purchased our first building in Grantham. The Church has operated from a shop on Grantham High Street for the last year. During this time we have sought to serve the people of the local area by providing a meeting place, befriending, and practical help to people with all sorts of requirements. We have provided help with learning English to those new to this country. We have supported people with drug and alcohol abuse. We have also acted as a focal point for people from other nations as they seek to integrate with the local community. We have provided these services in partnership with other statutory and voluntary agencies.
We moved into our new building in February 2011 with the help of all members of the church.
The name for our new home "Jubilee Church Life Centre" captures our vision for the building. It is our heart to bring Life to every area of our local community. Jesus promises to bring "Life in all its fullness" to all who come to Him. We seek to bring this amazing experience to all people in this locality.
We hope to do this by providing many different services to the community as well as providing a base for a local church. These services range from those already described, to a community kitchen, assistance to the local food bank, disabled changing facilities, debt counseling, a dance studio, conference facilities and opportunities for youth and children. This wide range of activities reflects our heart to reach every member of our local community with the love of Jesus.
Although we will start using the building immediately, renovations will be ongoing for many months. The building is currently accessed via the door on St Catherine's Road.
